Dalia Patiño-Echeverri

Dalia believes in the power of education, energy access, and technology to create a better world for everyone. She has more than 15 years of experience teaching at all educational levels, from pre-school to Ph.D. students, in Colombia and the US, and cannot think of anything better than making time to help Repurpose-IT empower teachers and kids of the indigenous nations.

Dalia is an associate professor at the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University. Her research explores, assesses, and proposes technological, policy, and market approaches to strike a balance between environmental sustainability, affordability, and reliability in the electric power industry.
